DREAM: I’m supposed to perform at a church located inside some kind of mall. Standing up near the stage. I see Dezi and her family in the front row. Angel Berrios shows up. He looks incredibly different than I last saw him, wearing a long black leather jacket, black leather gloves with gold chains attached, black sunglasses. He seems taller, and just simply bigger. His attitude is that of a lone and silent bodyguard. I try to shake his hand but he has to take his gloves off first.

Waking up 12:40 p.m. Phil and Nick come into my quarters to bid me farewell.

My throat is scratchy I think from the cigar smoke last night.

Making breakfast: Scrambled Egg with Toast and Butter. Orange Juice.

Talking with Nick. Sharing some of our travel experiences with each other. I’ve always been fond of his personality, good humored and accommodating. He tells a story the way a story should be told.

Driving back to Virginia Beach.

Stuffing my face with the peaches I picked yesterday.

The past few days I kept my cell phone off because it was almost dead when I arrived in Marshall anyway, plus I had forgotten my charger. It was such a relieving feeling to free myself from that dreadful thing. Turning it back on now, blowing up with missed texts and voicemails, mostly birthday themed. I’m connected to the urgent and immediate world again.

Stopping at a rest stop for lunch: Peanut Butter Sandwich. Salt N Vinegar Chips. Mango Oolong Tea.

There was something unique and different about being in the environment I was in the past few days. No fear. No need for plans. Just make use of the resources around you and feel free. I see Phil’s house almost as an Eden or even a Noah’s ark, containing all the necessary animals and supplies for survival. Whenever I feel like screaming to the world, “Leave me alone!” this is the place I want to retreat to.

Finally getting back home. Meeting Chris at the storage unit to load up for the show tonight at The Barn in Chesapeake.

We drive and drive and drive. Beck’s Guero running on the stereo. We get caught at a drawbridge. At the very bottom of Virginia, down a gravel road we find The Barn.

Performing as Musicplayer along with Over the Ocean and Imagination Station.

Snacking on Dry Roasted Edamame and someone’s homemade Zucchini Bread.

Watching Over the Ocean, lounging on the couch. I have a major headache but the ambient atmosphere, colored lights, and the sounds they’re making are somewhat soothing.

As soon as I arrive home, it’s already hectic; everyone is here. It’s sort of Emmanuel’s going away party. It’s good to see everyone but I’m so tired and worn.

Eating a bowl of Lentil Soup and Garlic Curry Naan Bread with Milk.

Shower.

Sipping on a cup of hot Green Tea lying in my bed. It feels good to be in my bed, but my nose is stuffy and runny and my head is throbbing.

Sleep around 2:45 a.m.
