DREAM: I’ve been committed to have some tests done on me. I walk into the big building, which is called The Oyster Building or Oyster Inc. A doctor woman assigns Mab to escort me where the testing occurs. We ride the elevator up to the top story and Mab takes me to the corner of a wide room where you’re supposed to break every 15 minutes during the test, which I find out is actually a written test, like in school, and not a scientific test on my body because I can see all the desks and chairs and other subjects taking these tests with a pencil and paper. Where I am, in the break area, there’s cushioned green chairs and a table with refreshments on it, including a giant bowl of Raisin Bran cereal with milk. Nobody seems to be eating from it. Suddenly Mab pulls me aside, and takes me through a door that leads to a dark hallway where, along with four other people, an abstract physical representation of an internet web forum is being played out. I watch a smaller dark skinned girl at the other end of the dark hallway crawl slowly on the floor towards me. She’s pretending to be a nurse vampire and starts kissing and nomming the left side of my neck. It feels good—so warm. I play along. The other people involved are doing other things of this nature. When this is done, I am back in the break area sitting at a table. Margot is across from me. She seems drunk and begs me for money so she can get food because she’s starving. A bowl of Chicken Fried Rice appears that I recognize as mine. Strangely, there’s ice cubes sitting in it, I guess to keep it cold. I tell Margot she can have it but to watch out for the ice cubes.
4:30 p.m. I wake up.
Breakfast: Immune Defense Drink.
Performing with Musicplayer at The Naro Cinema in Norfolk with Long Division and River James—a special show—all bands gave a wonderful performance. The auditorium is full of faces, mostly sitting down, which was different than a regular small room show. I feel like the farther the distance from me to the people, the more nervous I am.
Seeing and chatting with a lot of people I rarely get to see. It’s encouraging to hear people’s compliments, especially specific observations on guitar tone, or on vocals, or the sound of the drums, or bass, or just the songs as a whole.
Snacking on some popcorn Ramona Quimby offered to me—she’s wearing these heart-shaped glasses.
The temperature has hit the 20’s.
Post-show hangout at Tortilla West.
Eating 4 Black Bean Tacos with Cheese and Lettuce.
Kelly informs me that I will be farting later because of all the beans I’m eating.
Farting…(Kelly Cred)
Margot meets me at the storage unit—helping me unload equipment.
Listening to her describe this movie she recently saw called The Duchess. She sounds like a little kid explaining it to me.
Warming up under a thick royal comforter. It’s been a while since we’ve had sex, especially since the incident over the weekend. But now is the time. And she’s mine.
Eating a bowl of Cherrios mixed in with Cinnamon Honey Bunches.
I’m an official member of ASCAP now.
Registering my songs.
Going to Oceana Salvage to buy a used side mirror to replace the one that got side swiped the other day just outside my house.
Sleep 9:15 a.m.
