Just before 5:30 p.m. I wake up.

Casino.

Business.

Getting advice from my dad over the phone about bank loans.

I get called into work at China Wok for an hour.

Lunch: Grilled Cheese with Tomato. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Oolong Tea.

Casino.

Cleaning the bathroom—vacuuming the house.

Stretching and doing crunches while sharing with Dustin stories of technical difficulties on the stage.

Newspaper related stuff.

Compiling old footage to go on the Tokyo DVD.

Hey baby! Stop getting drunk and start understanding me!

Counting quarters. (see above photo)

Dinner: Vegetarian Chili.

Dustin’s going to cover my newspaper shift tomorrow so I take him along and show him the ropes.

At the Super 8 hotel the manager always comes out to buy a newspaper from me before I place them in the box. He warns Dustin and I that it’s going to snow Monday and Tuesday. Back in the van. “Whenever an old man tells you it’s gonna snow, he’s probably right.” Dustin responds, “That’s because he feels it in his knees.”

Quick stop at 7-11 for Coffee and a Blueberry Muffin—also, a pee break (Dustin has a small bladder).

On the way home, talking with him about how much we revere police officers. We often forget that they’re just people like us, with a wife or husband, kids, and a life, struggling with the same day-to-day problems.

Sleep 8 a.m.
