Waking up around 3 p.m.

Breakfast: Plain Bagel with Cream Cheese. Orange Juice. Zinc.

Picking up a mini-fridge from the JCOC thrift store.

Stopping by 1623—all the debris and stuff is cleared out now—bare yard—bare house—it’s sad to know that I have no part of the house anymore.

Lunch: Grilled Cheese with Tomato. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea.

Work at China Wok.

There’s a new driver here in training named Aaron. He says he’s from New York (Lower Manhattan), which is near Chinatown so he understands the serious vibe of the Chinese, i.e. my boss.

Talking about my bosses, “Yeah, they match the criteria for the stereotype of an Asian for sure.”

Him: “See without knowing you and just by looking at you, I would think you were a stoner.”

Me: “[haha] And I don’t really smoke weed. I guess I do have a grungy look.”

Back home—people hanging out.

Strawberry Yogurt.

Art, Roma, and Jamil come over. I missed my Russian friends.

Dinner: Chicken with Onions. Rice. Broccoli.

Poker with James, Art, Harry, and Roland—Rachel is parading around the house with roller skates pretending to wait on us at the table offering peach flavored Tic-Tacs—Art wins.

Carmen, after sucking on a blue ring pop, reaches over to take a bite from my dinner.

Me: “I don’t want your blue mouth on my yellow rice!”

Margot brings over Chocolate Chip Cookies. I ask her to save me a few while I wash the dishes. She demands, “I don’t talk to anyone who doesn’t give me a kiss first.” The queen needs her proper greeting every time; otherwise there will not be good relations.

Constructing a tower of TV’s in the living room.

Me: “I love this kind of stuff. It’s like a science project—all these wires going everywhere.”

Anthony puts a New Radicals song on the computer. Within the first 15 seconds Margot comments, “This is the worst!”

Amanda, whom I know through an acquaintance, contacted me about doing a paper route. So I take her out with me and show her the ropes in hopes that she’ll take over the job.

Eating a Bowtie Donut from 7-11 with Milk.

Sleep 7 a.m.
