DREAM: I’ve entered into a house that belongs to my step-grandparents. It’s understood that my mom and I were just living here for the summer for whatever reason. Our belongings are still scattered throughout the living room. Looking at the collection of books I brought with us lined on the bookshelf—thinking how I didn’t even touch one book all summer. The desktop computer is still on. I shut it down but it takes forever for the power to turn off. Just above the fireplace is a large painting. On it is a black smear of spray paint that I put there on accident. Thinking it damaged the picture but I take a step back and realize it actually blends in quite well with the colors and design.

Getting up together around 1 p.m. It’s nice to sleep in especially when I’m waking up next to her.

She starts reading my blog—skimming through, only really reading where she’s mentioned.

Me: “You should read more about my life other than the parts you’re in. Then you’d understand.”

Breakfast: Plain Bagel with Light Cream Cheese. Orange Juice. Zinc.

Leaving my car at the Xpress Lube for an oil change. While waiting, Margot and I browse through Target. She’s enamored with the chic plates and glasses.

Me: “Why are you looking at dishes?”

Her: “Because I’m nesting.”

She gives me some analogy about how a mother bird gathers the nest before the eggs come.

Me: “I’m only interested in edible things.”

Getting two new tires from the Used Tire Express on Rosemont.

Watermelon.

Researching—business.

Lunch: Hard Boiled Egg Sandwich with Mayonnaise and Tomato. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea mixed in Vitamin Water.

Watching Red White & Blue [2010], a dark revenge thriller. Noah Taylor gives an incredible performance. The editing of this film is what makes it.

Playing basketball on the courts across the street from the old house. Driving by 1623 to find an official “For Rent” sign pinned into the ground. Wow. This really happened. I moved out of that kingdom. Feeling sad for just a minute.

Google work.

Dinner: Beer-Glazed Black Beans with Onions and Mixed Vegetables. Fresh Garlic Bread on Sweet Brown Rice Bread. Bud Light.

James is doing his 10-point weight lifting with the weight bar in the living room.

Art and Roma stop by briefly—they just came back from a league game at the bowling alley, happy about their win. I propose the idea to them to rent out 1623 because they need a place by the end of the month. “How cool would that be?”

I drive to Harpoon Larry’s for a visit with my queen. She’s super happy to see me when I walk in. She always complains about how I never visit her at work. “Who says I never come to visit.”

Sitting at a table next to the aquarium. I can’t stop massaging her sexy thick thighs.

Me: “I love these things.”

Her: “I’m trying to get rid of them.”

Me: “Your legs are so thick.”

Her: “Fat.”

Me: “I didn’t use that word. Thick is good. It’s like when I make Cream of Wheat. It’s thin at first and then it thickens after it cooks. You’re like a mature bowl of Cream of Wheat. Thick and tasty.”

At the storage unit—playing music. The amp cranked up. Not too much but just enough to vibrate the air. Running through some old and new material. I can’t sing out too well for some reason—throat still recovering. But it also feels like the bacteria is developing on a new spot back at the top of my mouth.

Eating a bowl of Frosted Shredded Wheat Cereal. It hurts to swallow.

Sleep 5 a.m.
