Getting out of bed right at 11:15 a.m.
Instant Blueberry Oatmeal. Orange Juice.
All day shift at China Wok.
It’s cloudy, just the way I like it. Warm without sun. And
of course...the rain is my best friend.
Scrambled Eggs. Five Guys French Fries. Pomegranate Cherry
Ade.
The deliveries continue steadily. The rain is sporadic. I
would call this weather bi-polar. But all of us are rewarded with a cute little
rainbow...
Major headache spurring on.
Iced Coffee from Bean There. Belgian Milk Chocolate Bar.
Jazz on NPR radio somewhat calms me down.
The night just keeps getting longer and longer. This shift
never seems to end. But finally it does, 194 miles later. I’m thankfully home
in my room at 11 p.m.
Vegetable Lo Mein. Budweiser.
Watching Rounders (1998).
Fortune cookie says, “Giving will make you smile.”
Catching up on some house chores – dishes – trash –
compacting the recycle.
Calum stops in after just getting off work in Hilltop.
Discussing how to keep up creative productivity while also dealing with
adulthood, the difference in the community of Virginia Beach and a place like
New York.
James Graves is here now. We all sit down at the card table.
Sharing Strawberries ad spare beers found while cleaning up. Entertaining ourselves
with a Dear Abby (for teenagers) book from the 50’s. Also, a Victoria’s
Secret catalogue came in the mail, addressed to a female roommate that used to
live here. Noticing the huge price shift of a bra valued at 25 bucks to a cigar
valued at 25 cents from this 1956 issue of Life magazine.
Sleep 4 a.m.
