Hostility inside a house. I’m chosen as the one to be ridiculed and broke down. The others have decided that I’m to blame for a serious incident that just took place.

11:15 a.m. waking up.

Instant Blueberry Oatmeal. Orange Juice.

All day shift at China Wok.

White Peach.

Slow for business.

Scrambled Egg. Five Guys French Fries. Honey Green Tea.

The day drags on and on and on...

Ice Cream Cone from Chic-fil-A.

I discover a huge moth just chilling on the sidewalk.

Off work and back home.

Vegetable Lo Mein.

Fortune cookie says, “Relish the transitions in your life – they will happen regardless.”

Cleaning up and doing chores.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Watching Mission: Impossible III (2006).

It’s about 1 a.m. I head over to Shore Drive to pick up Aysena for the last time. She’s staying at my place and tomorrow we’ll trek out to the North Carolina coast. She’s sad about missing all her friends and the unique place she’s found here in Virginia Beach. I feel her feelings of nostalgia.

Settling down in my room – putting clothes away. Talking with Ays...

Ays: “You should write in your diary not about what happened with you today – you should think about it and write your thoughts.”

Me: “I know! I do do this.”

...

Ays: “Don’t be nervous at your age.”

Me: “It’s okay to be nervous sometimes.”

Ays: “I’m fighting with nervous all the time. I don’t know how I got it or who gave me this awful character. My mom is not nervous. My grandma is not nervous. My grandfather is absolutely not. Where did I get it?”

Me: “It will go away. The older you get, the more people you talk to the less nervous you become.”

Ays: “I’m actually nervous about people.”

Me: “Yeah, social anxiety. It’s a psychological problem. Everybody has them.”

Sleepy time. 3:30 a.m.
