I have the wonderful opportunity to chat with Aysena on Skype for exactly 1 hour, 36 minutes, and 45 seconds. Ahhh. It’s such a gift to see her face. Special emotions resurface and my heart feels high again. We don’t talk as often as we used to but I like it that way because the times we do talk are that much better.

She got a new haircut...with bangs now. I suggest tying it into pigtails.

Me: “Are you scared?”
Ays: “About what?”
Me: “About the future.”
Ays: “Not now.”
Me: “Not now?”
Ays: “U-uh. I don’t care. Everything will happen.”
Me: “Yes. That’s true. Everything will happen.”
Phone calls and chores.
