Waking up at 11:10 a.m.
Strawberry Toaster Pastries. Orange Juice.
All day shift at China Wok.
Nothing like the sweet flesh of Cantaloupe to freshen up the day.
Chowing down on a plastic container full of Intensified Garlic Black Bean and Quinoa Salad with Tomatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Corn, and Peppers that Caylin made. Honey Green Tea.
It's way too busy for a Monday, which is good but the miles are racking up and the tips are sub par.
Keep going. Keep going. Keep going.
Ice Cream Cone.
Tristan is in town for the month. He hung out with the road trip boys out in California for a few days. And now he'll be here in VB for a while. I haven't seen him since I went to Russia. He accompanies me on the last hour of my shift.
I vent to him about the troubles of the day. He asks my opinion on what a good tip would be. I say, "I mean if you tip me $2 I won't hate you but I'll dislike you a little bit."
I talk about the new computer I bought over a month ago and how it's able to rapidly wake up in less than ten seconds after you turn it on. We joke about how older less advanced computers from some time ago took anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes to load up and how that's similar to how a human wakes up.
Back home.
Enjoying Vegetable Lo Mein and sipping on a Michelob Ultra.
Kevin walks in and recites a poem he wrote regarding his rent money being late:
"Dear Robert,
It's that time of the month again, rent is past due, and Darren starts his period.
I have no excuses, no reasons.
This anxiety is like diarrhea, a major inconvenience.
But think of the LIVE times we had in our life, like when Kirk smashed a beer bottle, showing us how to make a nigger knife, or like that time I put a hole in the wall, wait...I put most of the holes in all, or like that time Darren's bong broke and he strangled Jupiter until it twitched and choked.
I've been here since the beginning you see.
I'm a lot like herpes and AIDS, you'll never get rid of me.
I love you more than just a smidget.
I love you like I would an albino Mexican midget."
Leslie drops by.
I found some old CD-Rom games that I used to play in the olden days. Unreal, the one that came out in 1998, sparks my interest. I get mesmerized in the game play.
Sleep at I don't know when.
