Waking up at 11:08 a.m.
Plain Bagel with Vegan Cream Cheese. Orange Juice.
All day shift at China Wok.
Slow for deliveries.
Watermelon.
Janice sits at the table beside me eating grapes and doing her summer school assignments, like counting to 110 by ones, twos, fives, and tens. She asks me what I'm drinking so I draw out a crude picture of a bee retrieving nectar from a flower and making honey.
Me: "It's green tea with honey. See? Like Winnie the Pooh."
Lentil Wrap with Hummus. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea.
I'm the only driver today so I'm obligated to be a super-driver. It's nice though – nothing I can't handle. I've been able to deliver every single order that comes through, with no help from anyone else. Generous tips make me happy.
The season has turned, just a tab bit cooler. It's in the 80-something degrees – nice, nice weather. Not humid. Comfortable.
Enjoying a Chocolate Coconut Water.
Ana sends me a Facebook message: "You're so good to me and everyone around you. I feel like you don't get enough of the appreciation that you deserve. You're always willing give and always making sure everything gets taken care of. Sometimes I feel like I may repeating some things I've said before, but there are somethings that I feel like you should to like 'thank yous' and appreciation."
The night continues steadily.
While sweeping up the floor at the restaurant I find a transparent cutout cloud from Ana's dream box that she made me. How did it end up here? I guess it probably fell out of her purse when she visited yesterday.
Off work and back home.
Egg Vegetable Fried Rice with a Rolling Rock.
Watching 6 Souls (2009).
Going for a night ride around Hilltop.
Lemon Meringue Pie.
Sleep 4 a.m.
