Waking up at 12:37 p.m.
Honey Corn Flakes, Oat Clusters, and Granola with Vanilla Almond Milk.
I'm scheduled to work tonight so I head to the gym earlier than usual. On the drive there it's recognizably one of the hottest days we've had this season – summer is upon us. While waiting at a stoplight with the window down I overhear two girls talking in the car beside me. One of them says, "Oo. I like his purple car."
The other girl adds, "That's the China Wok car."
It's funny how my car has such a reputation that even without the China Wok signs people can identify it as the "China Wok" car.
...
At the Rec – lifting and playing a few pick-up games of basketball. My legs and feet are sore from all the activity this week.
Banana. Mango and Strawberries. Peanut Butter English Muffin. Baked Salt n Vinegar Chips. Green Tea with Honey.
Working a few hours at China Wok.
Back home. Ana arrives after spending some time at the gym. I fix up dinner. Tonight is Ginger Lentils with Quinoa, Brussel Sprouts, and Onions. Washing it down with these Elderberry Lemonade drinks I found at Whole Foods.
We work on a new Johnny Cash/Bob Dylan song – a great feel-good tune.
Ana and I didn't decide on what to do tonight besides dinner, which is always a given, and playing music. There's not much time left in the night so we preoccupy ourselves in the bed with general playful behavior – pinching each other's legs and slapping each other's butts.
Sleep around 3:30 a.m.
