Movie Monday Gang (July 14 2014)[i]

Waking up around 9:30 a.m. Gotta meet my step-uncle David to unlock the storage unit – he's building the sheet metal wall to divide the space.

Honey Crunch n Oats with Almond Milk.

Researching. Getting ready to file a wage garnishment summons for a former roommate of mine.

I head back over to the storage unit to help David buy some more materials from Lowe's. Organizing my side of the unit while David finishes up the job. It's kind of nice reconnecting with him. I mean I kind of owe it to him for being interested in learning guitar when I was young, as well as learning about computers. He bought me my first and only electric guitar, which I have used in multiple bands growing up.

Back home. The road trip gang is back in town after 22 days of traveling across the country. Anthony, Josh, and Riggs are lounging around the house each seeming a little bit more enlightened than before they left. I'm anticipating hearing stories soon.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Baked Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea.

Having to wake up earlier than usual my body is begging for a nap but if I take a nap I'll miss out on time at the gym. I buy some energy tea from Josh and it boosts me right up.

At The Escape getting a good workout in. The Geese Gang is always there.

Back home.

The road trip crew takes over the dining room shouting and recanting wild stories on the road. I make dinner for Ana and I: Dover Filets with Broccoli, Mushrooms, Carrots, Onions, and Bamboo Rice. She points out that she wasn't expecting to eat. But I point out that I expect she didn't eat dinner and so I make sure to provide it for her. She's not very good at meal planning, especially when her day is hectic.

It's Movie Monday. Some of the others simply don't have the attention span for a movie right now – they've been drinking and need something more LIVE-ly. I grab the ones from the group interested into the living room. Showing a bunch of trailers. In the end we vote on Lawless (2012). The subtitles are very thorough and make sure to include sounds that people make. In this particular movie there are a lot of grumbles and groans. This movie takes place during The Prohibition in the 1920's.

"The Groaning 20's!" somebody calls out.

At intermission we implement the box of popcorn bags Andre gave us and pop popcorn.

Later on, Ana and I challenge each other in a music notation game on our iPhones. We're both good contenders. And then we talk, talk, talk into the wee hours of the night.
