Waking up just before noon.
Meeting my step-uncle David at the storage unit. I asked him to look at the space and see what it'd cost to build a sheet metal wall in the middle. I've been kind of forced by the owner to figure this out on my own. David gives me a fair price quote.
Bran Flakes and Berry Cobbler Granola with Almond Milk.
Errands. Getting groceries and paper towels/toilet paper for the house.
Jupiter nestles on my lap...
Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Baked Salt n Vinegar Chips. Honey Green Tea. White Peach.
At the Rec Center working out and shooting hoops.
Back home. Ana arrives. I cook us a nourishing dinner: Orange Roughy Filets with Broccoli, Carrots, Mushrooms, and Bamboo Rice. Sipping on an Clementine Izze.
Sitting down together at the computer sifting through videos and music.
Me: "Man, after all that now I just wanna play music."
And I grab the guitar and we sing through songs downstairs in the dining room while Kevin does "research" on his computer in the living room. We have a little fun with this new song I've been learning called "All of Me", originally a Ruth Etting song from the 1930's but covered by tons of musicians over the years including Billie Holiday and NOFX.
Resigning to the bedroom – opening up a bottle of white wine – helping Ana activate her brand new iPhone that came in the mail yesterday. I've added her to my Verizon phone plan. Giving her the rundown of it's operating system and showing her how to do some of the basic things.
It's been a fun and interactive night with Ana – good quality time together, the kind of time we needed for a while now.
Sleep at some late hour.
