At home waiting on Ana to show up. We link up. Picking up groceries at Trader Joe's and getting gas. Then heading to Chicho's for Mike Gombas's Christmas open mic gathering. I order Ana and I Gin & Tonics. She doesn't like her drink because it wasn't what she thought it was and in general she's been overly aware of the things she consumes, as am I. But I try to relieve her concerns by explaining that our bodies are stronger than she thinks – it's okay to have certain things we're not used to. Dave Johnson and a bluesy piano serenade us with rocking Christmas covers. I get up to the stage area and perform on the piano "O Holy Night" (and a bit tipsy I might add so the performance isn't very professional), "Jingle Bell Rock" (with the help of the tambourine from a kid nearby), and "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree" (with Ana on lead vocals).

Then to the FedEx Office to print off a bunch of photo quality pictures for family gifts.

Back home. Cooking us a late hearty dinner: Lentils, Kale Sprouts, Onions, Carrots, and Quinoa. It's a crafty gift preparation night for Ana and I. She custom designed a bunch of cards for herself and me. I pull out some old Trader Joe's brown bags from last year's Christmas that conveniently have gift name tag cut-outs and Christmas designs for us to make envelops out of. Meanwhile, Christmas tunes ring out on the radio.

Kevin sits down to enjoy his giant bowl of customized Ramen. After Ana runs up the stairs to make tea, Kevin feels inspired to give me relationship advice...

"Now stress is a lot like this glass of water that I'm holding. The weight of the stress is never going to change. Sometimes you have to put the glass down!"

In my room while Ana is settled into my brand new bed I comment about how full of a day it was, "Gosh, it feels like there's so little time for everything! I had so many things to do today."

Sleep 3:30 a.m.
