Waking up at 11:18 a.m.
Oat and Almond Biscuits with Vegan Cream Cheese and Strawberry Jam. Scrambled Eggs. Orange Juice.
10th adjustment at the chiropractor.
Taking a look at a house for sale on West Lane, right down the street from Rick's Café. Jes and my realtor, Charlene, open up the front door and we do a thorough walkthrough of the place. It's been remodeled and everything. 4 bedrooms. Hardwood floors on the first level. Spacious front and back deck. One house that I could get serious about.
Trader Joe's.
Irish Oatmeal with Maca Powder, Maple Syrup, Chia Seeds, Strawberries, and Almond Milk. Coffee with Cream and Sugar.
Teaching lessons at Music Makers.
At the Rec Center. Ana's here too. I arrived a bit late and so I get put on the wait list for basketball. No worries – I'll just do some cardio and exercise in the fitness room for an hour. Eventually, I get called onto a team and get a good three solid games in.
Back home. Cooking dinner for Ana and I. Trying to get her turned on to lean protein, or just more protein in general. Tonight is Red Curry Chicken with Roasted Kale Sprouts, Carrots, Onions, and Black Rice. Richie and Kevin pretend to be waiters at a café while we chow down our nutritious meal.
I comment about how busy the month of January is going to be, and already is, "I mean, I've got my mom coming next week. I've got two shows to play. Josiah wants to start practicing for SXS. I still have to work at China Wok on the weekends. Then I've still got 15 kids I gotta teach during the week."
Ana: "It's okay we don't have to have me and you time. I understand."
Me: "Oh no, no, no. I already planned the night. I was gonna eat dinner with you, do the laundry, make almond milk, and then make love to you."
Afterwards, there are always more things to do. I make my weekly almond milk from scratch while she makes these protein balls using dates and oat flour.
Lounging in her bed and chatting – being playful and cuddly. I take care of some chores before I return to our cuddly bedtime at 3 a.m.
