Waking up at 10:40 a.m.
Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Maple Syrup, Raisins, and Kefir. Yerba Mate Tea.
A big day ahead of me.
A piano lesson at Music Makers.
Rock School sessions all afternoon.
In between getting lunch: Fuji Apple, Grilled PB&J, Potato Lentil Curls, and Oolong Tea.
Scooping up Ana from the house and heading to Back Bay's East by East Coast fest, Virginia Beach's own version of SxSW. We've got some national acts sandwiched in with local heroes. The Seers, Wandcarver, Izzy True, Loud Boyz, Old Baby, Painted Zeros, and Ladada. Props to Elliott for putting this big event together. We need more venues like these to sprout up in Virginia Beach. One of my piano students, Leah, is actually here with her mom and dad. The kid is loving the punk rock vibes of Loud Boyz.
Enjoying some Fish Tacos from the Taqueria downstairs.
Finally back home after a hectic day of listening and watching bands.
Painted Zeros and Izzy True, the two bands on tour, are sleeping over at the house. They seem to enjoy rassling on the floor and giggling.
Meanwhile, Ana is feeling extra sensitive and emotional – she thinks it's because of her recent over dosage of tofu this past week. Despite, we lie next to each other and sleep at 2 a.m.
