Carpooling to Norfolk with Anthony, Cynthia, Ana, Will, Rich, and mom. Ladada is performing at Charlie’s Café alongside The Mirrors (local heroes) and Louie Louie (all girl 60’s themed rock band). It’s a great turnout. Sipping on a beer and enjoying the catch-up’s and how-are-you’s with friends. We added a few new songs to the set list but a Ladada set isn’t complete without Josiah breaking a guitar string early on. One of the girls from Louie Louie kindly lets us borrow an axe.
Back home. On the drive a conversation/argument/debate/tirade started between Rich and Will. Will’s had a lot to drink and gets more talkative in this state. They began on interrogations, moved on to terrorism, and then Rich’s traumatic experiences with ex-girlfriends, which involved “cat scratch fever”. We share Ice Cream in the kitchen.
Chamomile Tea.
Sleep 4 a.m.
