Waking up at 10:30 a.m.
Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Kefir. Irish Breakfast Tea.
Music Makers LIVE band rehearsals all afternoon. The kids are tearing my head apart but we have a lot of fun.
Lunch: PB&J. Plantain Chips. Green Tea. Honey Crisp Apple.
More rehearsals.
As soon as MMLIVE is done I have just enough time to grab some grub from Ming’s Chinese Food down the street. I’ve always wanted to drop in this place. The triangle shaped building and neon lights give it this foreign out of place vibe, a perfect setting for a scene in a movie. I order a quart of Vegetable Lo Mein. While waiting there’s a girl at the table, obviously the daughter of the family running the restaurant – she’s learning English by pronouncing the words into a smart phone. “Hair!” she says very distinctly. “Hair!” Then, “Shocks!” She means to say socks but the isolated “s” sound is difficult. Feeling nostalgic sitting here remembering some time ago when I used to be a delivery driver for China Wok. I could’ve just as well been working here for this family, who knows.
DEJA rehearsal. Our Wink Floyd set is slowly getting sharper every time.
Back home. Baking the rest of those Cookies and brewing some Scottish Toffee Tea.
Catching up on business and emails.
Chilling with Ana, Will, and the cat downstairs sharing hilarious Ryan Gosling SNL videos.
Sleep 4 a.m.
