Waking up at 10:45 a.m.
Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Strawberries, Maple Syrup, and Kefir. Irish Breakfast Tea.
Teaching afternoon lessons at Music Makers.
Immediately after, I gotta load up the wagon (with mom’s help in her borrowed hatchback). Ana and I have a gig at Smartmouth in Norfolk. This time they’ve got us outside right in front of the food truck. The sun is shining and the breeze is blowin’! My dad and his wife make it up from North Carolina. Ana’s mom and her brothers are here. Other friends are here.
We do our thing with almost 3 hours worth of music. Sipping on a Belgian Beer and enjoying some Pulled Chicken with Slaw, Beans, and Cornbread.
Afterwards, with Anthony, Ana, and mom at Doumar’s, the oldest diner in Norfolk, to treat everyone for Ice Cream Cones.
And so begins the rest of my night consisting of transporting the gear back to the rehearsal spot and the studio – loading – unloading.
Finally back home close to midnight. Doing chores. Settling in.
Sleep 2:30 a.m.
