Waking up at 10:20 a.m.
Ana and I make Mother’s Day Blueberry Pancakes with Guayusa Tea.
MMLIVE rehearsals all day. It’s a hectic Sunday as usual.
Lentil Wrap with Hummus, Tomatoes, Lettuce, and an Orange.
The rehearsals continue.
Iced Coffee.
After everything is done with the business of the day I take my mom out to dinner at When In Rome, the Italian restaurant Ana and I went to for dinner recently. That wine, Palladio Chianti, really made a mark on us. I make sure to order a bottle. They were out of the regular size so we have to get the bigger size.
Mom is thoroughly impressed with the meal and the wine. While she reads the card I made her I know she’s going to tear up. I even tear up myself just knowing how she’s reading it. I mention how proud I am to call her my mother. She’s always inspiring me with her humility and patience. Earlier on Facebook, I posted this picture of her and I from 1985 when I was a baby dressed up as crayons for Halloween. I say how she’s nurtured and colored my life since day one of my existence. As it was said yesterday: sometimes everything just has to stop. And it’s in these moments of pause and reflection we really learn how to live.
Back home. Settling down and doing some chores.
Organizing basketball cards.
Sleep 3:30 a.m.
