Waking up around 11 a.m.

At Music Makers coaching all the MMLIVE bands.

 

PB&J, Plantain Chips, and Coffee break somewhere in between.

 

Always so impressed with what these kids can accomplish in 8 weeks.

 

Back home. Umit is cooking dinner for the whole house!

 

Later on, at ELO rehearsal. It seems like an endless day of rehearsing and playing music!

 

Home. Catching up on business.

 

Ana and I take a night walk to and back from the studio and take out the trash. It’s a beautifully perfect night out – enjoying the construction and moist air.

 

Saturday February 27 2021

Waking up around noon.

 

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

 

Teaching afternoon lessons at Music Makers.

 

It’s one of those Saturdays where everything overloads on me – beyond business related things there’s so much cracking down that needs to be done in a timely manner.

 

Pineapple.

 

Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Butter and Jam. Salt n Vinegar Chips. Coffee. Kale with Beets.

 

Catching up on lots of business and emails.

 

After Ana gets off work we grab some late dinner at Aloha Snacks – enjoying some Blue Fin Tuna Nigiri.

 

On the way home we spontaneously decide to drop by La Bella Italia to see if they have any desserts. Even though they’re closing up a guy just gives us a pair of Cannolis for free! While there, I talk to Travis Larsen, the dad of a student I used to teach.

 

Later on, doing chores.

 

At the studio – fixing the drum room door – practicing drums – fixing keyboard patches.

 

Friday February 26 2021

Waking up off and on – at some point officially at 1 p.m.

 

It’s actually warmed up lately. Ana and I ride out to Commune for brunch: Waffles, Eggs, Bacon, and Coffee for me.

 

Later on, I open up Music Makers at 3 p.m. until Rebecca can take over at 4. Dealing with business and things there.

 

Running errands with Ana – picking up things from The Heritage, Target, Trader Joe’s, and the tailor.

 

At the gym right up until they close – doing cardio and some light workout.

 

Back home. Ana and I make dinner: Peas with Cauliflower, Onions, Quinoa, and Focaccia Bread.

We come up with a new term when we combine leftovers with new food, “freshovers

 

Later on, at the studio doing things and messing around playing music with Ana.

Waking up around 11:45 a.m.

 

Cereal with Banana. Irish Breakfast Tea.

 

Workout with Vlad at the gym – I try to get him to introduce me to new things I haven’t tried before – we focus on triceps and shoulders.

 

Scrambled Eggs. Toast with Butter and Jam. Chips. Kale. Coffee.

Watching Amend: The Fight for America (2021).

 

Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

 

Back home. Ana made us dinner: Vegan Burgers with Roasted Potatoes, Carrots, and Zucchini.

 

Catching up on business.

 

Playing DOOM.

Waking up around noon.

 

Oatmeal with Cinnamon, Blueberries, and Almond Milk. Irish Breakfast Tea.

 

It’s such a beautiful sunny day – I take advantage and shoot the basketball around – then a light workout at the gym.

 

Banana.

 

Grilled PB&J. Spinach. Popped Chips. Coffee.

After work Ana brings thai food for us to eat here at the studio.

Chicken Pad Thai with Broccoli and Spring Rolls.

 

Then, we do the band jam with the boys – they’re getting really tight as a band.

 

Afterwards, back home it’s Roland’s birthday. He’s got Jenna and Zach over to hang out and celebrate. Everyone’s in and out of the kitchen talking about peach cobbler recipes and how people eat with their eyes.

Starting the process of my business taxes – all sorts of things need to be in order before I begin.

 

Monday February 22 2021

Waking up around 11:40 a.m.

Normally, I’d be going to the gym but I decide to stay home and catch up on business and phone calls.

 

Scrambled Eggs. Spinach. Toast with Butter and Jam. Coffee.

 

Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

 

Later on, at ELO rehearsal. It’s actually been a long while since we’ve gotten together. There’s a new wireless mic and monitor system we’re using – we basically spend a lot of time tweaking the system as opposed to playing the songs.

 

Back home. Recapping the day with Ana – she went back to work for the first time after her 2 week stay-cation. A lot happened while she was gone from there.

 

Eating some blood orange cake she brought home with Green Tea.

Coaching MMLIVE bands at Music Makers. Positive and productive vibes.

More rehearsing.

 

So proud of all these bands as I usually am – but they always start to shine towards the end of the sessions.

 

Ana and I grab dinner at Pizza Chapel – enjoying pizza pies and garlic knots with Party Dinosaur beers.

 

Back home. We watch I Care a Lot (2020) together.

While she cooks a nice dinner for us I play a few rounds of DOOM.

Later on, I practice music at the studio and tweak some things on the keyboards.

Friday February 19 2021

Ana and I wake up real late – I look at the clock to read 1:05 p.m.

 

We drive out to Commune for brunch: Cornmeal Waffles with Bacon, Eggs, and Coffee.

Watching the cars busily pass by on the boulevard and the rain consistently patters down. We always get into good deep talks on a Friday afternoon after being caffeinated.

 

Running errands – opening up Music Makers – stopping by the tailor – working out at the gym.

 

Apple. PB&J Toast. Coffee.

 

Ana and I grab groceries from Whole Foods. Doug happens to be working.

“I miss people,” he states.

“And people miss you!” I reply.

 

Warming up some leftover Pasta with Brussel Sprouts for dinner.

 

Taking care of chores and doing research.

 

Playing DOOM.

 

Late night trash/recycle run with Ana.

 

 

Sleeping next to Ana but not before we make some fire.

Waking up around 11:45 a.m.

Workout with Vlad – he always tries to give me new things to try.

Teaching lessons at Music Makers.

 

Ana cooked us Vegan Burgers at home with Roasted Potatoes and Cabbage.

 

Coaching the band jam with the boys – Ana always joins us cause she sings on a few tunes. They’re all so talented.

 

Back home. Catching up on business. Then, replacing the rear bearing on the dryer – and now it’s as quiet as a mouse! It feels nice to be able to fix something like this fairly easily. It just takes a bit of mechanical intuition.

 

Chores.
