Waking up bright and early at 10:15 a.m.
Picking up a rental car from Enterprise, an electric blue Ford Escape SUV. Packing up and hitting the road...
Ana and I are Charlottesville bound – both excited to be getting out of town.
Breakfast Bars and Tea.
Arriving in Keswick, Virginia on a small donkey farm from an Airbnb we rented. A jovial dog welcomes us into this quaint little nook on the side of this lady’s house. It’s really cute inside with all kinds of stained glass lamps and flowery décor, the kind of place I know my mom would’ve liked.
Fueling up on some PB&J’s, Potato Chips, and Coffee then hitting the road...
Entering Shenandoah National Park and driving up Skyline Drive in awe of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains – stopping at all the overlooks.
Going for about a 3 mile hike to see the Jones Run Falls, a moderate but rocky hike downhill. We spot millipedes everywhere – they run this forest. No bears in sight fortunately.
Spending a good amount of time snapping pics and snacking on Apples at the foot of the falls. It’s gorgeous and such a breath of fresh air.
After we sweat off our asses in the mountains we drive into downtown Charlottesville for dinner, right in the heart of the city. Enjoying Pizza at The Mellow Mushroom then hot Cookies from Insomnia Cookies.
Settling back into our nook on the farm – catching up on editing footage and reflecting on the day over tea.
Later on, Ana and I make fire in the living room.
