Waking up semi early at 10:30 a.m.
Breakfast Bar. Tea. Banana.
Rebecca and I link up at Nigel’s for a meeting with him, Kelly, and Kevin to debrief from the weekend and get organized on how we can save money on these trips – also making more money for the band – delegation to the crew and band members.
Chores.
Eggs. English Muffin. Pita Chips. Spinach. Coffee.
Teaching lessons at Music Makers.
After work Ana suggested we grab some Gringo’s Tacos – we’re able to sit down in the tiny restaurant. That same waitress is still there – ever since I discovered this place years ago she’s still been working here. Ana and I enjoy “Taco Tuesday” – we haven’t really eaten out in a long while – there’s some kind of semblance of normal I suppose even though there’s this underlying sense of distance between us.
Later on, I’m at Music Makers tweaking and organizing – building a piano and figuring out how to efficiently place it. I haven’t had the chance to do any kind of maintenance to the studio for a month now. There’s always little things that need cleaning or moving around.
Ana and I take out the recycling even though it’s after 2 a.m. On the drive back to the house I run through those pesky red lights (they’re always red without fail).
“I own Hilltop after midnight,” I declare.
