Waking up around 11:30 a.m.
Protein Shake. Tea.
Mike gives me a ride to pick up the tour bus – I pay them and try to assess how the A/C works – apparently we had the temperature knob mixed up.
Stopping the tire place to check pressure – I put in some diesel exhaust fluid.
Doing some vacuuming and cleaning on the bus.
Eggs. Spinach. English Muffin. Vegan Breakfast Sausage. Coffee.
Teaching lessons at Music Makers.
As soon as I’m off doing more chores and packing.
Tempeh with Black Beans, Quinoa, Baby Broccoli, Carrots, and Naan Bread.
Getting ready to leave at the warehouse – linking up with the whole ELO crew – loading the trailer – there’s always much to do – configuring the layout of the pack and it’s a tight one this trip cause we’ll be gone for a week and some change.
...
I take the first driving shift in the bus. Rebecca joins me in the passenger seat. I go down a rabbit hole of old school Christian pop and dance music I used to listen to back in the day. It definitely helps us pass the time.
After 4 hours someone else takes the wheel – the rest of us try to sleep in the back, some on the bunk bed and I on the futon. It’s extremely hard to really sleep though cause of all the random bumps – it’s really almost impossible.
